Near-term winter resource adequacy challenges in the Pacific Northwest: A review of E3’s Northwest RA Study Phase 1 and independent evaluation of near-term winter challenges
This collaboration between GridLab and Sylvan Energy Analytics examines Phase 1 of a recent resource adequacy study conducted by E3 on behalf of electric utilities in the Pacific Northwest and provides an independent analysis of winter resource adequacy risks based on the weather and hydro conditions experienced in January 2024. The study explores the potential contributions of clean resources and data center flexibility during critical winter events.
